Homeward Bound
Hello everyone!
Today is such a busy day for me at the hospital so this is going to be short and sweet.
I just wanted to let you all know that after 12 months+ In Houston at MD Anderson, 2 trials, an allogeneic transplant, and complications adding up to 9 weeks of hospitalization, Hundreds of thoughtful cards and well wishes - and your countless prayers, hundreds of appointments and infusions, caregiving by my daughter, husband, sister, brother, friends, precious parents, visits and calls and fun face times from my beautiful nieces, nephews, and greats--and from all of you...
Also miraculous interventions and new friends Dixie and Rich, Rita, Butch, Susan, Marc and Twilight, Shamarian, Crystal, Carrie and so many many angels in the form of nurses, doctors, phlebotomists, assistants, case workers, social workers, even waitresses (Emmie!!), fellow transplant recipients and families who will forever be in my heart- true blood sisters Fela Bibas and Mavish, and brother- JP Schultz.
Also the inspiration and faith building worship services at Lakewood Church - filled me with hope.
After all of this... I am coming home tomorrow!!!
Dad is here and we are going to pack and leave in the morning! It will probably take us a few days to get home- maybe by 10/1.
To be honest I knew this was a possibility last week- but I didn't want to say anything til I was really sure that it would happen.
I will let you know how we are doing.
Lots of love,
Linny
