Hi Friends and Family!

Well, I've gone a bit AWOL on you lately - I realize- so much so - that now I'm actually making a return trip to Houston for a follow-up appointment. I am writing to you from the sky en route to MD Anderson. This trip is different from all the rest. I kissed Dan and waltzed out the door saying I'll see you on Thursday!

October has been a dream. Every day is so precious and filled with all of what God promises us - Love Peace Joy Hope! Between the breathtakingly beautiful foliage and welcome gift of each new day. I have been sort of floating around breathing it in - exhaling cares and worries - and staying warm by the fire. There have been some lovely gatherings with family and running into friends at the store, remembering how to cook and rehearsals for The Quiltmaker's Gift (2nd annual production by Sovereign Ballet on December 2 and 3 - click this link for ticket info:  http://sovereignballet.com/ ).

I have weekly follow-up appointments at the RCC (with either my oncologist Dr. David Seastone or PCP Dr Jack Yakish  -I ADORE THEM)  and daily infusions that I administer myself (just saline) and other than my daily anti-rejection and prophylactic medications I am leading a fairly normal existence. The little kids on this flight are staring at my mask with complete curiosity - but other than that I fit right in. My hair looks short and fun and no more walker (or even a limp!)

Now what...?!?

Well-- I don't know exactly.  We are planning a family trip over the holidays but other than Quiltmaker --- I am resting in this moment of healing and the feeling of wholeness returning to my life.  You have all been so considerate and given me space to get back into my home. Yesterday I finally had space in my brain to get my banjo out and play with my nephew Jim Franks and it was all I needed- because now my fingers are in stage one of getting back in shape. I feel some music coming on!

Hello Houston!!

Lots of Love Everybody💕🎶💃
